2008 - Richardson Corn
Maze
-
This is the World’s
Largest Corn Maze, but don’t let the size scare you. The maze is designed in
sections of smaller mazes so you can do as much as you want and then get out
easily. The smallest part has quiz questions to help guide you through and
usually takes under half an hour to complete. The mazes are not one way in and
one way out. The trails loop around and connect so it’s relatively easy to get
out of even the most complex maze. Finding all the checkpoints is the real
challenge!
-
Location: 9407
Richardson Rd Spring Grove, IL 60081
-
We will start at 3:30
p.m.
-
We have a private
picnic area with a campfire reserved for our Pack. Picnic tables will be
provided (limited supply) so we are encouraged to bring chairs. Flashlights
too!
-
Saturday, November 8,
2008 - Rocket Launch
-
Launch your own rocket
and see some awesome rockets built and flown by the club members. Bring a
launch pad and launcher if you have them, but there will be launchers available
to share. Fly as many times as you would like (and have engines for). You can
bring almost any kind of rocket to this event.
If you do not have a
rocket, you can get them at places like HobbyTownUSA in Schaumburg or
you can order a rocket kit thru Mr. Quinn. The kit includes an 11”
tall “Starhawk” rocket kit, engines for 2 flights and instructions.
You will need a knife, glue and (optional) paint to complete the model
– or just bring your kit to the build day (see below).
The kits cost is $9.00
